Poetry: Kennington

I've had a poem about my 'hood published at the lovely, ever-growing Alight Here, a project dedicated to capturing images and poetry about the Underground's 270 stations. You should submit something too.

Linkorama for 26.05.10

Hello. It's been a while. Onwards:

1) 26 recommendations for May.

2) Backwards graphic designer wins US legislative seat. I want to know when Banks Johnson might enter the fray...

3) BP oozes all over twitter. And not in a good way.

4) Nominative determinism strikes again, in Jamaica.

5) Business school students promise not to cheat, lie, steal, or use other common tactics of hypercapitalism.

Commercial: Howzat!

Have I told you this already? Apologies if I have, but the ASDA Kwik Cricket site that I've been writing has now gone live. If you've got budding KPs under the age of 11, then sign them up.

Commercial: Common Ground goes global

So, many moons ago, I wrote an essay about Julian Barnes' Metroland for the 26 project Common Ground.

Rather delightfully, Common Ground is up and running again. And we'd like your help.

This time the plan is, rather than being confined to the UK, to explore the rest of the world. There's a new website, which is waiting for your stories about your relationship to *anywhere* on earth. Wherever you are we'd like you

to send us your Common Ground tales. Which writers share your background, crossed your path or inspired you to take up your pen and set down your thoughts?

Submit your stories here. We look forward stories coming in from around the globe.
